May 13, 2014Today was an important day in my school work. Today was the first day that I say down at the dining room table, across from Mom, and did all my homework pages BY MYSELF, with no help! I read the instructions and put the date on the cover page and everything! Mom was very proud of me. :)
Our whole world is about Roblox these days. Mom has lightened up on the limitations as she sees more and more thought and planning go into building within the game. As long as the "other" friends use their manners! February 7, 2014Well Mom made it to 40 - yay! This week we did some cooking in the kitchen, and we made tacos from some grilled chicken we found on sale at the grocery store. I helped Mom at the stove, pushing the cooked meat off the main piece as it turned color and got warmed up enough. Once it was all cooked, we added the meat to the taco shells, then put cheese and taco sauce on, and WOW was it good!
February 3, 2014Well this year is off to a crazy start, but it's all going to turn out wonderful... Mom will be 40 on Friday, and we're going to party!
February 25, 2013We have been going through old boxes and piles and trying to organize the rooms of our house. Yesterday, Dad found the old box of colorful geometry shapes and clear colored plastic shapes. We were so glad to see it!
This morning, Bubba sat down on the floor while we were watching Dinosaur Train on PBS and he created a whole city called "The Town of Shapes." It was amazing! There were two towers and many other parts of the town that had such bright colors. This was a wonderful use of Bubba's imagination - Mom is very proud! April 10, 2013Wow it's been a busy month already! We returned from our awesome Easter day in Hollywood to discover that Danny had come down with a bad virus or stomach flu. This lasted more than a week, and it was hard for him (and Mom) to get the rest he needed, but we are back to health now and getting ready to head over to Leane's to see our friends! This will be an exciting visit there today because they have a new swingset! Yaay.
May 21, 2013Today was an exciting school day because Bubba learned how to do a Crossword Puzzle for the first time - mostly by himself! Some of the words we used were toast, goat, note, and boat. It was so fun!
We are also saying prayers for all the people in Okahoma that were hit by that monster tornado yesterday - what a disaster they are facing. We pray the new buildings will be stronger and safer for everyone in tornado areas. |
March 11, 2013Papa Mark is staying with us right now. He didn't sleep well last night, so we thought we would run a couple errands this morning and give him some quiet time.
We went to Target for the first time in quite a while and found lots of interesting things to look at and talk about. We used the price checker and scanned our UPC codes, we found a new shirt for Bubba and some new sleep shorts for Dad, and Mom found the office things she needed for her desk. It was fun! Then we picked up a Pizza Hut personal pepperoni pizza from the Target shop and got a taco meal and drink to share at Taco Bell. Our last spot before heading back home was the park at the corner of Sanderson and Seventh. We had our lunch at one of the tables, then another family came for their picnic and we made a few new friends. Bubba was nice and helped a little girl to stay off the metal flat slide because it was "too hot." Then it was time to come home! :) May 6, 2013Today is Monday. We had a fun morning, and an unusual one. First, it was raining hard when we left home to head to the library. Rain. Cold wind. In May! We actually had to put jackets on! Then we drove to the library, and on our way into the building, we saw several snails scattered all over the sidewalk. Baby snails, Mommy snails, all different sizes. It was a nice morning at the library because we had the Children's Reading Room all to ourself! Mom picked out several books to check out for storytime at home, Danny played with the foam block set and built a small town with several small buildings. Then we sat at the adult-size table and Mom watched as Danny completed the magnetic alphabet puzzle. So fun! After our required stop at the Friends of the Library Book Sale room, we checked out our books and paid 20 cents for the two Sale Room books, and came home. The power was off when we got home, but it came on a short time later as Danny was enjoying his El Pollo Loco taco salad!
November 5, 2013We are watching Eloise at Christmastime. It's a great story that takes place in the Plaza Hotel in New York City! It is a beautiful sunny morning. Dad is at work and then he has class tonight in Murrieta. Mom was sick the last couple weeks from some bad vitamins she got at the Dollar Store, then Bubba got a cold, but we're hanging in there and we will be fine. :) Grandma is flying out to Ma's today to stay with her while Papa George is in the hospital.
